Prescription-cost resources
Prescription costs can be a coverage problem, an assistance problem, or both.
CKT’s legacy site emphasized helping people who were struggling to afford medications. The rebuilt resource keeps that mission, but organizes it around current Medicare Part D rules and official assistance programs.
Extra Help
Extra Help is a Medicare program for people with limited income and resources that can help with Part D premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and other drug costs. Some people qualify automatically through Medicaid, a Medicare Savings Program, or Supplemental Security Income; others can apply.
Medicare Savings Programs
State Medicare Savings Programs may help eligible people with certain Medicare premiums and cost sharing. Eligibility rules can vary by program and state, so the official Medicare and state resources should be used for current limits and applications.
Plan-specific prescription review
Even when assistance is not the issue, costs can vary based on formulary tier, pharmacy network, deductible, copayment or coinsurance structure, and whether a drug is covered at all. A useful review starts with the actual medications and pharmacies that matter to you, then compares plan details rather than relying on the premium alone.
Understand the options first. Decide what fits second.
